NOT SO PERFECT CHORIZO THINS (20 PKS)
Made for Rioja
Our award-winning Chorizo Thins, but just a bit crumbly.
Slices (crumbs actually) of authentic Spanish chorizo gently roasted until crisp, crunchy and intensely delicious. A perfect tapas-style snack to accompany a glass of Rioja or something equally complex, fruity and mineral
But on this occasion, just all a bit bashed up! Take a look the story below to see what happened, why we're offering up a bargain and how best to serve up these delicious nuggets.
The Story of NOT SO PERFECT CHORIZO THINS (20 PKS)
We all make mistakes in the kitchen right, and that's what's happened here.
Think Cadbury's broken biscuits, think second growth Bordeaux, or even think those packs of bacon bits you get from the butchers.
Bargains! The same great tasting products you love, but you probably wouldn't serve them up if the Queen popped round for tea (well maybe the Bordeaux!).
That's whats happened here. Not to name names (cough, cough, Duncs), but somebody got a little heavy handed with the slicer in the kitchen and we've ended up with a shed load of Chorizo 'Crumbs'.
Crisp, crunchy and the same delicious taste, but just all a bit bashed up!
So instead of seeing them go to waste we're offering them up as a bit of a bargain.
We only have 93 cases available so it's a first come first serve basis: £1 a pack / 20 packs a case and with free UK delivery.
My serving suggestions for the bashed up Thins.
Enjoy them as usual: Pop them in a bowl, pour yourself something red and yummy and get Net Flix on. A little fiddly but still delicious.
Up your snack game: Bash up even further the bag of Chorizo Crumbs with a Pestle & Mortar, mix in with some bread crumbs plus a turn of salt and pepper and pop into a bowl. Cut up some skinless free range chicken thighs and season. Then Pane the chicken i.e. roll the chicken in flour, then roll in a whisked egg, then finally roll into the Chorizo breadcrumb mix. Deep fry, shallow fry or bung in a hot oven with a drizzle of olive oil for 15 mins until golden and delicious. Tip into a bowl, season and serve with a side of aioli if you're in the mood to dunk (jarred mayo & crushed garlic is the quick version). Accompany with a crisp cold lager (we love Lucky Saint for a zero alcohol alternative).
Midnight Feast: When the need for something a little more substantial is required of an evening. You know the moment, and it will take you just 10 mins. Pour the crumbly thins into a frying pan on medium heat, toss around for 4 mins until they are glistening and starting to crisp a little. Pour in a splash of olive oil and crack into the same pan a fresh free range egg. Give it a minute and toss in a half a handful of spinach leaves or alternatively and if you have them some sorrel. Pop into the toaster a slice of brown bread and toast. When it's done and the egg is as you like it, place the egg on the toast and spoon over the Chorizo and spinach loveliness. A splash of olive oil, a pinch of salt and your night in is sorted. Serve with a crisp aromatic white - I love Alborino - and together they are delicious.
Cheers and enjoy,

Made for Rioja or something equally fruity & mineral.
Our Chorizo Thins are perfect with a glass of red – Rioja is our recommendation (but any young Spanish red is wonderful) and, in particular, a simple Joven Rioja is spot on – young, fresh and easy going. The salt picks up the fruit flavours in the wine and the fats calm down any tannins. Everything else is a joyful combination.
We also love it with a Manzanilla Sherry, an amber ale or a Bloody Mary.
Of course - they're made from a selection of natural ingredients. Our Chorizo Thins are simply sliced and slow-roasted chorizo picante, made from: Duroc pork shoulder, Duroc pork belly, hot paprika de la Vera, salt and garlic.
