We aimed to create the perfect companion for New Zealand's renowned Sauvignon Blanc wine. To achieve this, we collaborated with Brancott Estate, a leading name in Marlborough that has been growing Sauvignon Blanc vineyards for over four decades. Brancott Estate Flight is their latest innovation, utilizing early grape harvesting (with lower sugar levels) to produce a crisp and delicious 9% ABV Sauvignon Blanc. In order to highlight one of the advantages of a 9% ABV wine when paired with food, we decided to incorporate some spice. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant and flavourful cuisines of Asia and Portugal, we chose a classic combination of Chilli and Lemon. The tangy lemon in the crisps perfectly complements the citrus notes in the wine, while the lower alcohol content allows the subtle heat of birds eye chilli to shine without overpowering the tropical fruit flavours.
